HUD Announces Major Restructuring of Field Offices
While implementation will begin this fall, completion of the entire restructuring process is expected to take approximately two and a half years. Throughout implementation, HUD leadership will work on an ongoing basis to ensure employees are fully informed, and that all notification requirements for both union and non-union workers are satisfied.

On June 26, 2013, Rep. Carolyn Maloney (D-NY) introduced HR 2522, a bill to allow veterans to use their VA home loan guarantee benefits to purchase shares in a housing cooperative. View the bill and call on your local representative to co-sign today!
On Oct. 29, 2014 the House Transportation & Infrastructure Committee
approved a FEMA reauthorization bill, HR 3300. See page 2 of
the amendment which requires FEMA to review and report back to the
committee on FEMA options for Housing Cooperatives and Condos.
To date, it has not been considered by either the full House nor the Senate.
