2002 Annual Conference: Phoenix, Arizona

Workshops Summary

  75 workshops, 18 doctor’s clinics, and lots of one-on-one conversations made up the educational opportunities available to attendees during this years conference. More than 69 cooperative housing professionals attended the conference offering to share their knowledge, stories of challenges they have faced during their professional life, and to help attendees discover solutions to problems they are facing in their own cooperatives.

·     NAHC offered 75 workshops.

·     18 Doctor’s Clinic sessions were offered with requests for additional sessions in the future.

·     NAHC offered two and a half days of workshops.

·     8 workshop tracks aided attendees in finding sessions that fit their area of expertise.

·     The “Daily Specials” track proved to be a very valuable investment of time by all trainers involved. Course evaluations expressed the attendees desire for more sessions based on hot topics. 

·     Attendees applauded many trainers for their use of hands-on activities during a session to explain engage attendees in their own learning as well as the thorough, up to date content of the handouts prepared by trainers.
