The Louise C. Harvey
Young Cooperator of the Year Award The Louise C.
Harvey Young Cooperator of the Year Award is given to young persons who have made
outstanding contributions to their cooperative communities.
Louise C. Harvey was a member of the NAHC board of directors from 1986 until her death
in 1992. She was a true community leader. She often testified on youth and affordable
housing concerns and was involved in youth and other community issues. In 1975, she got
involved with cooperative housing and later became president of both her cooperative,
Ammel Park, and the California Association of Housing Cooperatives.
